There is a 1961 arrangement of this piece by Siegfried Behrend which, though it represents a musically satisfactory reduction of the harpsichord part for guitar, is frustrating to play because a few sections are unnecessarily difficult for the guitarist (especially in the Allegro). I therefore took the opportunity provided by finding a MIDI version of the piece on the Recorder Home Page https://www.recorderhomepage.net to recast the whole arrangement*. I hope I have managed to retain Behrend’s approach to the arrangement while providing a solution that is easier to finger.
