Alfonso Ferrabosco II
Much of Ferrabosco’s considerable output is only found in manuscript sources. However in 1609 he released two publications, Ayres, a collection of songs with lute and bass viol accompaniment and:
“LESSONS FOR 1. 2. and 3. Viols. BY Alfonso Ferrabosco.
LONDON: Printed by THOMAS SNODHAM, for IOHN BROVVNE, and are to be sould at his shop in Saint Dunstones Church-yard in Fleetstreet”
A modern transcription of the work is available (Ferrabosco, 1973).
